Ariana Vanderpool-Wallace makes Bahamas History!

Today was a historic day for Bahamas and for Ariana Vanderpool-Wallace. She made I believe the FIRST Olympic Swimming final in the Olympic history for the Bahamas.

CONGRATS to you Ariana for believing in yourself and never giving up. I remember in 2008 Beijing when before the 50 free your goggles broke and you were so nervous. You still had the cold blood to go out there and swim like a champion. I remember telling you not to worry that next Olympics you will be in the final. CONGRATS!

Also congratulations to Brett Hawke and the amazing job he has done with her and the Auburn swimmers. War Eagle!

Tomorrow take a deep breath and swim with NO FEAR and NOTHING TO LOSE. We believe in you ;-)

Ariana Vanderpool-Wallace makes Semis in 100 Free ;-)!!!

It was great to watch Ariana Vandepool-Wallace destroy her heat on her way of breaking the Bahamas National Record and qualifying for the Semifinal of the 100 Free tonight.  She was a FAST 53.73!!!

I can still remember at the 2008 Beijing Olympic games when I told Ariana before her 100 Free that she had nothing to be nervous that that race was going to be a warm up experience for the 2012 Olympic games when she swam in the Finals and kick some b... :-)

Let's make sure that all of us cheer for Ariana tonight.  It would be I believe the first time for a swimmer from the Bahamas to qualify for the finals in swimming.  Once in the Finals the SKY IS THE LIMIT!!!

Proud of you Ariana and CONGRATS to you, your family and your coach Brett Hawke.
