Caeleb Dressel takes it to the next level at 2013 Junior Worlds - Dubai

Caeleb Dressel has had an AMAZING summer, from World Trials back in June to the 2013 FINA Junior Worlds this past week in Dubai, UAE.  He has broken many NAG records as a 15-16 year old and in the two weeks after turning 17 he has broken two 17-18 NAG in the 50 and 100 Free.  Both times place him in the top 50 in the World Rankings and establishes him as one of the upcoming stars in the World.

How impressive that the first time Caleb has a chance to represent Team USA, he brings home a total of 6 Medals from the Junior World Championships, two individual and 4 relays.

Gold

48”97 – 100 Free with a New Championship Record and a New 17-18 NAG taking Michael Phelps down

Silver

48”29 - 400 Free Relay

48”83 - 400 Mixed Free Relay

Bronze

22”22 - 50 Free with a New 17-18 NAG taking his friend and teammate Santo Condorelli down

48”70 - 400 Mixed Medley Relay

1:48”27 - 800 Free Relay

Congratulations to Caeleb and his Coach Jason Calanog for the great job that they have done this year preparing and executing a great plan. I have no doubt that great things are waiting ahead for Caeleb and Coach Jason and I just want to CONGRATULATE them Both

Here you have a video of us watching Caeleb swim the 100 Free this past Saturday in our Dry-Land room at Bolles.  Enjoy!

I also want to Congratulate three other Bolles swimmers that competed at the 2013 FINA Junior World Championships this past weekend, and they did a very good job.

Mckenna Deveber (96) that represented PERU and swam a best time in the 200 IM with a 2:22”86 placing 25th, she also swam the 50-100-200 back and 100 Free.  Congrats!!!

Natacha Gvakharia Mgebrishvi (96) that represented Mexico and placed 13th in the 50 Free with a personal best of 26”27 and also placed 23rd with another personal best in the 100 Free with a 57”76.  Felicidades!!!

Steven Maina (97) that represented Kenya and swam 50-100-200-400 Free, 50 and 200 Back.  Steven had a very busy week and swam a couple of personal best times.  Congrats!!!

You can check SwimSwam to check for results.  They did an amazing job covering the meet and keeping us all informed.  Thank You!!!

Ryan Murphy & Teo D'Alessandro Swim FAST 100 IM (46"90 & 49"10) @ Practice

Another day with more FAST Swimming today here at our practice at Bolles.

I know some people will have negative comments about it but I think Ryan Murphy & Teo D'Alessandro swam a very FAST 100 IM today at practice.

Today was last practice for Ryan with us at Bolles and he wanted to race with Teo and use an old Fullbody suit to see how fast they could go in the 100 IM.  After the US Open both of them took over two weeks off and they have been in the water for a couple of days.

I need to apologize to Teo since I did not get his splits :-( but hopefuly he knows that I still care a lot about him ;-)>

Well here is the video for you to enjoy.  The final times are the ones I took:

Ryan Murphy 46"90& Teo D'Alessandro 49"10

 ENJOY!!!

Next Week Bolles at FLAGs-Will the Magic travel to Gainesville?

YES!!!!

The Bolles Magic will travel to Gainesville with our younger and hungry Sharks.  Coach Dale and the rest of the Age Group coaching staff will be leading a group of 57 swimmers to the University of Florida to compete at the 2013 Summer FLAGs.

Here in the picture above you have our young Sharks that will be competing in their last FLAGs meet this next week.  Today at our pre-meet party each one of them gave a speech of what it means to be part of the BOLLES TRADITION and how excited they are to go out there and swim FAST.  They believe in the power of their teammates and the power and MAGIC that the Bolles Tradition has given them to reach this level and keep moving forward.

GO BOLLES!!!!

Very exciting meet that will be broadcast live by our great friends and amazing professionals from the Florida Swim Network.  Here is the link to the event:

Also here is a picture of how yesterday my wife and some of her friends were doing preparations for today's FLAGs party and they were making their own MAGIC. Supposedly my wife makes a mean Margarita.  I guess all those years working at the night clubs back in Barcelona are paying off. I wish I was there ;-)

Where was the Magic?

This morning we swam well here at Sectionals but we did not have the "Magic".  i am not sure where the "Magic" went this morning but I am pretty sure that is coming to visit us tonigh ;-)

Excited to be here with our young group of swimmers.  We are used to competing always in Florida and this is so far a very good experience for our Sharks. Also what a great facility here at University of Georgia.

Also tonight Mario Todorovic swam the final of the 50 Fly at the 2013 World University Games and swam a 23"96 placing 7th.  The swim is good for not being rested and tapared and a good indication for the World Championships at the end of the month in Barcelona.  I have not been able to "Whatsapp" with Todi yet but I will let you know what he thinks.  In few days he will be swiming the 100 Free and 100 Fly.

Tonight I have no doubts that we will swim very well.  We have swimmers in the 200 IM, 50 Free and 200 Fly Finals.

GO BOLLES!!!

BELIEVE!!!
