Entries in Ryan Murphy (30)

Amazing Day for Bolles & Ryan Murphy

What can I say about today's swims for Bolles. EXCELLENT!

What a journey we have had this past four years since 2008 Trials. Today we had a total of TEN swims when in 2008 we only had four for the whole meet.

This morning we had Robbie Hayes in the last race of his life swim a best time with a blazing 54.04 in the 100 fly. Also in the same event we had young Santo Condorelli swim an amazing 54.23 in the 100 fly. Robbie is retiring but with Santo and with Caeleb Dressel the future of Bolles 100 fly looks very promising.

Tonight we had Ryan Murphy place 4th in the 200 backstroke at the age if 16 with his personal best of 1:57.39. I know that Ryan had a lot of expectations to swim fast and I can only say: Ryan you have an incredible journey ahead as a swimmer and THANK YOU for working so hard, believe in the process and be the person you are. Congrats for an amazing 2012 USA Olympic Trials and NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS my friend.

Tomorrow we come back for our last swim at this Trials with our younger swimmer in the squad Kasey Schmidt (14). She will be swimming 50 free.

Thanks for your support and following this blog.

Ryan Murphy after his 100 Back Final at Trials

Ryan Murphy talks to our Bolles swimmers, parents and followers right after his great swim in the 100 Backstroke Finals at the 2012 USA Olympic Trials.  Ryan swam an impressive race and finished 6th.  In the Semifinals Ryan broke the 15-16 National Age Group Record with an impressive 53.76 that places him 12th in the World for this year so far.

An interesting fact is that aaron Peirsol won the Gold Medal at the 2004 Olympic Games with a 54.0.  Ryan's time is a great indicator that if he keeps working the way he has worked so far and he is a little lucky ;-) the sky is the limit.

Personally I am very proud of him and most impresive than the time is the way he is handeling the pressure of this Trials.  Feel Lucky to be one of the coaches at Bolles and to be working with swimmers like Ryan.  WE ARE BOLLES!

Day Three Trials Finals - Be One With The Water

Tonight here at the 2012 USA Olympic Trials will be very exciting since two of our swimmers will be racing for a spot in the USA Olympic Team and another one will be racing for a spot in tomorrow's finals.

Charlie Houchin after a heartbreaking 400 free the first night bounced back like a true Champion to swim two great 200 free races. He now gets a chance to win a spot in the 200 free event and also to be a part of the 800 free relay. He will be swimming around 7.03 central time and let's have every single Bolles swimmer, parent, alumni and follower cheer and send positive energy to Charlie. Good Luck Chuck!!!

At 7.25 pm central time we will have our young Ryan Murphy facing the biggest race of his life. Ryan will be swimming the Final of the 100 Back with s chance to fight and scare those older swimmers ;-). Ryan swam the 11th fastest time in the World last night which was also a 15-16 National Age Group Record. Close your eyes and send all your positive energy to our young Shark and visualize seeing Ryan touching second ;-) Let's dream all together with nothing to lose since Ryan has already swam at a very high level. Good Luck Ryan! NO FEAR BABY!!!

Ariana Kukors will be swimming the Semifinal of the 200 IM looking for a spot in tomorrow's final. Make sure that at 8.14 pm you are thinking about Ari and send her all your best thoughts.

Thanks to everyone for all your support and get ready to watch an exciting part of what makes our BOLLES TRADITION the best in the world.

The Sun Did Really Come Out Today ;-)

Great night of swimming for the Bolles Sharks at the 2012 USA Olympic Trials here in Omaha.

Charlie Houchin had a personal best in the Semifinal of the 200 Free with a great 1.47.69 that placed him 6th for tomorrows final. A change to punch his ticket for London. NO FEAR CHUCK!

Ryan Murphy swam an amazing 100 Back with a 53.76 breaking his own 15-16 National Age Group Record that before the meet was a 54.96. This time placed him 5th tomorrow 's final. YOUTH BABY YOUTH. Tomorrow let every one of the older guys worry about it ;-)

BOLLES swimmers, parents and alumni get ready to cheer your lungs out and send your positive thoughts to Charlie, Ryan and Ariana Kukors.
