Ryan Murphy swam like a pro tonight the 200 Back. He took the lead from the start and he was made to hold off the Great Russian Arkady Vyatchanin to win his first National Title.

His time 1:38.15 is the New National Age Group Record for 17-18, and the first time to have a swimmer 18 & under below 1:40.00.

Ryan’s time today also broke the Texas pool record by Aaron Piersol with a 1:38, 45.

Also now Smacker Miles, Ryan’s girlfriend, that will be attending University Of Texas next year will have something to remind her of him everyday 🙂
