276. Our Croatian Shark Mario Todorovic Semis at World University Games

By Sergio López Miró

July 10, 2013

In a couple of hours Mario Todorovic will be swimming the semifinal of the 50 Fly at the 2013 World University Games that are taking place in Kazan, Russia.  Mario swam in the first heat of the prelims a 23″96 that is a season best.

Mario has been training this past season with us here in Jacksonville and honestly doing a very good job.  He is one of the best talents I have seen in swimming.  I remember when I was coaching at West Virginia and saw him swim for the first time at Croatian Nationals I really wanted him to become a Mountaineer but the following year I left college coaching 🙁 It is funny how life works and now we have had the opportunity to work together.

Mario besides being a very gifted swimmer he is a great person and a true professional.  From day one he has adaptad to our way of training at Bolles and always being an amazing example to our young swimmers.  It is a privilege to coach him and have him around our young sharks.  He is not fuly rested or shaved for this meet since he will be in Barcelona for Worlds, but I still believe that he will do very well in Kazan.

GOOD LUCK Tonight!!!

Go Marios!

Go BOLLES!!!
